Joaquin Arteaga

Joaquin Arteaga is the creator, main composer, bandleader and percussionist of the Tromboranga Salsa orchestra.
Born in Venezuela and based in Barcelona, Joaquin developed his passion for music and percussion instruments from an early age and has studied in various music conservatories and with big names of the music industry in the USA and Europe.
Recognized internationally by themes of his own composition (music and lyrics) such as “Agua que va caer”, “Humildad”, “Sentimiento Caleño”, “Adios que te va bien”, amongst others, Joaquín has produced and recorded 8 Tromboranga albums and 12 video clips.
Apart from taking Tromboranga into international tours all over the world, he also teaches workshops in Salsa Percussion and Musicality for Salsa Dancers. He has taught in Spain, Japan, Australia, Colombia, U.S.A., France, U.K., Morocco, Lebanon, Thailand among other countries.
